Spring break is the perfect time for families to put work and school aside and set off on the ultimate family travel adventure. Spring travel also means you get to beat the summer crowds at those popular destinations. If spring break travel is something your family is interested in but you’re not sure where to go, keep reading to find out the top spring break destinations for families:

Orlando, Florida

Thanks to its multiple theme parks, Orlando makes for a fantastic vacation destination for families. Watch magic come to life at Disney World’s four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios; experience thrills at Universal Orlando; see aquatic life at SeaWorld; and much more. The city offers plenty of family-friendly hotels to serve as the perfect homebase for your theme park-filled adventure. These five hotels won’t break the bank and offer convenient access to the city’s major attractions:

New York City

The Big Apple offers something for everyone in the family. Kids will be amazed by the bright lights of Times Square while parents enjoy shopping. Central Park offers playgrounds and a zoo, and you can’t forget about iconic landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building. The city also provides educational opportunities with a fun twist at museums like American Museum of Natural History and Children’s Museum of Manhattan. These hotels offer the perfect family atmosphere for a New York City stay:

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Although Chattanooga might not be your first thought for a family vacation, it offers plenty of adventure and charm. Check out Tennessee Aquarium, one of the best in the country; ride on historic Lookout Mountain Incline Railway; stroll along scenic Riverwalk; and participate in hands-on activities at Creative Discovery Museum. What to Know About New Rules Before Booking Flights to Europe

Summer will be here before you know it, which means you might be in the midst of planning your summer family travel to Europe. Things used to be fairly simple — buy plane tickets, book rooms and pack some bags. But there is a new rule in effect for a few months now, and you’ll want to familiarize yourself with it before you book those already overpriced (and only getting more expensive) flights.

Best of Both Worlds

Enjoy the best of both worlds when you fly with TAP Air Portugal thanks to the Portugal Stopover program. With the program, TAP passengers, whether traveling for business, leisure or both, can stop in Portugal for up to 10 days at no additional airfare on the way to their final destination. What does this mean for travelers wishing to explore by both land and sea? It means after flying to Portugal with TAP and experiencing the country in an entirely new way, travelers can then embark on scenic river and ocean cruises from  Portugal’s port cities, or fly with TAP to another European destination.

This Airline Stopover Program is Great for Families

My children and I travel to Europe frequently. For many of our trips, we take Icelandair. Icelandair is comfortable and affordable. Additionally, they offer excellent connectivity between several cities in the United States and European hot spots. Even better, the airline offers perks for families, including discounted fares for children, activity boxes and special meals.

Board a Nile River Cruise with A&K Sanctuary

If Agatha Christie took a Nile voyage today, we like to think she would do it aboard one of our A&K Sanctuary riverboats — consistently voted the best on the river, from boutique cruisers to a handsome six-suite dahabiya.
