Gaylord Opryland welcomes family travelers to its 41st annual A Country Christmas, through Jan. 4, 2025. The entire resort transformed into a Christmas wonderland filled with holiday decorations, entertainment and attractions. This season, the resort features more than 5 million twinkling lights, themed Christmas trees, 15,000 poinsettias, 15 miles of garland and 10 miles of hand-tied ribbon.
The hotel’s signature attraction, ICE! Featuring Frosty the Snowman, takes overnight and day guests on a magical journey with famous snowmen who come to life. The attraction includes 11 immersive walk-through scenes, giant ice sculptures, beautiful passageways and plenty of photo ops the whole family will enjoy.
This year, new features have been added to make the experience better than ever. Guests can now play on five new two-story ice slides, as well as a kids’ peek-a-boo slide. The experience also features live carving demonstrations from local artisans. After exploring all the attractions, ICE! ends in a separate area with a nativity scene carved and shaped into a dramatic display of crystal-clear ice. Make sure to dress warmly, because the icy wonderland is kept at 9 degrees Fahrenheit. The experience also provides cozy blue parkas in case guests need an extra layer.
In addition to ICE!, guests can also enjoy a variety of other events, live entertainment, hands-on experiences and attractions this season:
- A Country Christmas dinner shows
- Claus’ North Pole Breakfast (new this year and includes a delicious meal and photo opps with Mrs. Claus)
- The Snowman Scramble Scavenger Hunt, where kids hunt for vibrant clothing and accessories to help decorate and design their very own snowman
- Outdoor activities like ice tubing, bumper cars, Snowball Build & Blast, ice skating and ice-skating lessons, and the Merry & Bright Skating Spectacular live show
- Gingerbread houses and cookie decorating
- Letters to Santa
