On the heels of the next big snowstorm, instead of running to the store for milk and bread, have these items stocked to have the best snow day yet.
There is no doubt the kids will want to play in the snow, so they will need a warm jacket, snow pants, gloves and other things to keep them warm while having fun. Find the nearest hill and take them sledding for a classic winter thrill, make snow angels or build a snowman.
Once you’ve come in from the snow, warm up with some hot chocolate. If you can get your hands on one of those delicious and fun hot cocoa bombs, pour some warm milk or hot water over and enjoy!
Warm pajamas and blankets are a must — especially after coming in from the cold. Cozy up in a blanket in your favorite pajamas and hang around the house watching movies or catching up on your favorite TV shows. The best snow days are the ones where you can just be lazy and relax.
If you plan on staying in, make sure you have snacks. Nothing pairs better with a movie marathon than comfort food and light bites.
Once the kids are tuckered out for the night, unwind with your favorite bottle of wine or case of beer. In most cases, a snow day means you really can’t go anywhere — it is the perfect time to lean in and kick your feet up.
