Atlantis Paradise Island Announces Groundbreaking Enhancements for 2022

Atlantis Paradise Island, the perfect destination for luxurious family travel, is getting bigger and bolder this year. Recently, the destination announced a multimillion-dollar renovation, as well as exciting new partnerships at the iconic resort. For almost 25 years, Atlantis has been known for exuding Bahamian culture, showcasing marvelous marine life and its landmark pink architecture. The resort paved the way for luxury, hospitality and entertainment in the Caribbean and around the world and, now, is about to raise the bar even higher with a variety of upgrades and enhancements, including the redevelopment of The Beach Tower and all Royal Tower guestrooms and suites, an upgrade to Atlantis Casino and the addition of another Michelin-starred chef to its dining roster.

Dining Upgrade

Chef Michael White, the multistarred, The New York Times– and Michelin-recognized Italian chef and former owner of prominent dining destinations like Convivio, Alto, Ai Fiori and Marea in New York City, will join Nobu Matsuhisa and José Andrés. His arrival will make Atlantis the only resort in the region to boast three Michelin-star-rated chefs. Chef Michael will serve modern, coastal Italian cuisine at Paranza at The Cove, expected to open this year.

VIP-Level Accommodations

All guestrooms and suites in The Royal East Tower will be renovated by summer 2022, closely followed by the renovated rooms and suites in The Royal West Tower. The natural seascape of aquamarine waters, white-sand beaches and coral reefs inspired the designs and seek to provide a soothing environment for guests.

The Royal’s world-famous Bridge Suite is set for a total renovation, slated to finish next year. The designs will include bold, organic, rich and opulent textures and details reflecting the legend of Atlantis throughout the resort. Gold finishes will remind guests of found treasures in the lost city of Atlantis.

Fun Updates 

The Atlantis Casino will undergo a refresh, including modern finishes, shimmering textures, celestial fixtures and flowing lines symbolizing the sea. When guests enter the casino, they will be welcomed with a grander and more elegant sense of space. Other updates will include the expansion of Atlantis Casino’s two on-site lounges, high-limit slots and expansion of the gaming salon.

The Cove, the resort’s luxury all-suite hotel, recently debuted Lapis Club Lounge. This new lounge offers breathtaking views of Paradise Island, daily breakfast, hors d’oeuvres and a full-service bar. The hotel also recently introduced Sapphire Services, a new, bespoke concierge offering experience. This service features bookable experiences such as intimate beach dinners, exclusive programming at the resort’s marine mammal habitat, Dolphin Cay and private cabana rentals.

The pool and kid-friendly water playground, Splashers, will see new exciting slides, climbing areas and more this year, as well.
