Beginning Nov. 10, family travelers in Boston can’t miss the return of Boston Seaport’s Snowport. This annual neighborhood winter wonderland engages visitors of all ages and brings new additions this year, too.
This year’s open-air, European-style Holiday Market sees more than 120 small businesses (71 percent of which are minority and/or women-owned) make an appearance. Vendors sell everything from books to art work, vintage items to clothing, candles to outdoor crafts and more. Additionally, 17 food and beverage concepts, include four holiday-themed bars, await in a specially curated, 10,000-square-foot dining area. Choose from made-to-order pasta in giant cheese wheels from Baked Cheese Haus, fresh seafood bisques and chowders from Bluefin, Caribbean jerk chicken from ZaZ Food Truck and more.
This season’s highlights include:
Light Up Seaport (Dec. 1)
Between 5 and 9 p.m., watch the city’s largest holiday tree illuminate the city with its more than 10,000 twinkling lights. Enjoy live musical performances and a holiday stroll with one-night-only promotions from local retailers, as well.
The Tree Market at Snowport (Nov. 17–Dec. 23)
Get your Christmas tree, tree stands, lights, wreaths and more at this nearly month-long market.
Menorah Lighting (Dec. 10)
Celebrate Chanukah and head to Snowport for a fantastic light show accompanied by traditional treats. Like kosher jelly donuts and chocolate gelt.
Betty the Yeti
Keep an eye out for Seaport’s seasonal mascot who makes special appearances throughout the winter. Kids will especially love her.
New Year’s Eve Ice Sculpture Stroll (Dec. 31)
Admire several large-scale ice sculptures throughout this day-long celebration of the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024.
