Looking for a quick and relaxing getaway before your bundle of joy arrives? Doctors generally agree flying is okay, especially in the second trimester, so pack a long weekend bag before reassembling it for your hospital bag at some great couples spots.

Bermuda 

Just about a two-hour flight from Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK), Bermuda’s downtown is easily walkable and safe. Lots of couples trekked to this beachy paradise recently to escape any worries of the Zika virus, and discovered secluded sands and secret coves. Italy

Of course Venice is always great for a romantic couples getaway, but pizza and pasta can also satisfy some special pregnancy cravings. Take a relaxing stroll at this 30-room hotel at the nearby nature preserves or go antique shopping for the nursery.

British Virgin Islands

Peter Island Resort even focuses on the dads with pregnancy spa treatments like massages and private picnics on the island’s five beaches, along with a baby album at turndown. But the hotel one-ups the package with Baby Week, when three or more couples sign up for the same time period. Charlene L. Stokamer, MPH, MS, teaches the course “How to Relax and Have Your Baby,” with five two-hour classes on topics including breastfeeding prep, along with his-and-hers massages.

California

The Lavender Inn & Spa in Ojai is about much more than deep-tissue (although that’s an option, too) — private classes with lactation counselors or with doulas on birth planning, breast feeding and newborn care are popular here. Arizona
