Camelback Resort, in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, recently launched its new Camelpup Adventures, allowing guests to bring their dogs with them on family travel. While families enjoy Camelback’s year-round amenities — like Camelbeach Mountain Water Park, Aquatopia, hiking, tubing, skiing, snowboarding and more — pups can also hang out in fresh mountain air.
With the Camelpup Adventures program, dogs receive a bowl and treat, along with a welcome note, upon arrival. Waste bags are on hand at the pet relief location, and dogs are welcome in all areas of the resort except Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, Camelbeach and the fitness center. Dogs are welcome outside of Trails End and Berelli’s restaurants.

Some rules do apply:
- Pupperinos (puppies) and woofers (large dogs up to 50 pounds) are welcome
- There’s a $150 non-refundable cleaning fee
- Dogs must be on a leash outside of hotel rooms
- Dogs are only allowed in select rooms with owners displaying door hanger signs
Camelback Resort spans 560 acres in Tannersville, Pennsylvania, perfectly positioned an easy drive from New York City and Philadelphia. Camelback Lodge, at eight stories, boasts 453 guestrooms, multiple dining choices including ski-in/ski-out restaurants, a fitness center, 20,000 square feet of flexible conference and meeting venues, and 170,000 square feet of indoor adventure and entertainment space.
