Family travelers seeking out the next best museum should look to the Bloomberg Connects app this International Museum Day (May 18). Bloomberg Connects lets users explore a diverse range of cultural institutions from their device, enhancing the on-site visit.
In honor of International Museum Day, enjoy free access to more than 400 guides to museums, galleries, sculptural parks, gardens and cultural institutions in 24 countries. The app recently added museums like Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris and Powerhouse in Sydney.
Coordinated by the International Council of Museums, International Museum Day highlights the importance of museums as institutions serving society. This year’s theme is Museums for Education and Research, showcasing the significance of museums and dynamic educational institutions fostering discovery, learning and cultural understanding.
Bloomberg Connects is a free educational platform connecting people with cultural institutions around the world with behind-the-scenes guides, artist- and expert-curated video and audio content, and more. The app also includes functions like trip-planning tools and maps. Bloomberg Connects is available for download from the App Store or Google Play.
