Upcoming Coachella weekends might not be on family travelers’ radars, but LEGOLAND California is making sure all feel included with its first-ever LEGO Festival, offering California visitors and locals a kid-friendly alternative to Coachella. Little travelers can expect as much excitement, fun and entertainment as a real music festival.
Over six weekends in May and June, LEGO Festival will feature five different festival play zones, each encouraging kids to play and interact in different ways. Upon arrival, festival goers receive a lanyard before heading in to explore the five zones, experience interactive LEGO building areas and make a “Play Pack” after the festival.
These five Play Zones include:
- Music Zone: Pretend you’re part of the band while rocking out on LEGO guitars, dancing around the stage like a pop star and witnessing the ultimate battle of the bands.
- Dance Zone: Show off your best moves on the dance floor with the family. Guests can also spin the decks at the DJ booth and even meet minifigure royalty, DJ GoodVibes.
- Gaming Zone: Get into the game at Gaming Zone, and get ready to meet your gaming heroes. A surprise partner will be announced soon.
- Creative Zone: Tap into your creative side during the headlining act. The Creative Zone features masterclasses with Master Builder Alec, global play-athons and LEGOs for the chance to build your dream design.
- Chill Out Zone: After an afternoon of fun, unwind and relax in the LEGO Botanicals while listening to stories and building with Hopsy.
