One thing stands out from the moment you arrive in Athens: Yellow taxi cabs reign supreme, swarming the city as they transport passengers. Uber, upon arriving in Greece, changed things only slightly as it was immediately adopted as a way to call a taxi directly to you rather than having to hail one. But these days, there is a new way of getting around to let you see the city during family travel on your terms in style, comfort and class. Dynamis Transportation offers a full range of V.I.P.-style services that include everything from picking you up from the port or airport to taking you on tours of local sites within the city and beyond.

Dynamis Transportation, in operation for less than a year, has quickly become a model of personalized customer service for the ancient capital of Greece. “It’s not about providing rides for people,” said George Gigicos, co-founder, Dynamis Transportation, “It’s about creating the whole experience.”

The drivers and guides, all fluent in English, are carefully selected and trained to provide the highest level of customer service, and they know their city intimately, ensuring you don’t just get a ride, you get a personalized excursion that lets you learn about the city while you visit.

The company, licensed by Greece National Tourism Organization as a tour agency, features an all-Mercedes fleet of cars, SUVs and vans with no time or distance minimums or maximums. Each ride is in a clean, well-maintained vehicle that offers personal touches like bottled water, WiFi and mobile device chargers, and tours to archaeological sites include a licensed tour guide who can provide you with in-depth explanations of the sites you are visiting along with an iPad playing educational videos.

The company offers a range of tours, from visiting the Acropolis to taking a tour of the nearby archaeological site of Delphi, or you can take advantage of the fully customizable service to create your own itinerary. Whether you want to visit your Greek grandmother’s village or discover the best places to try Greek sweets around Athens, the turnkey service provided by Dynamis is the ideal way to discover the Athens you are searching for.

In addition to vehicle transportation services, Dynamis also offers a V.I.P. way to visit the Greek Islands and explore the beautiful turquoise waters of Greece through a partnership with Lion’s Bay Yachting. Excursions are not limited to island hopping — you can schedule a fishing trip or simply take a relaxing tour of the Athenian Riviera from the water.

Additional services are also in the works for Dynamis, with an Airport Ambassador program to  provide assistance as soon as you arrive at the airport. Expected to roll out this summer, it will feature dedicated Dynamis staff to greet you upon arrival to help with your bags and connect you with your Dynamis driver.

Also expected to roll out in the coming months is a private air transportation service designed to make visiting the islands easy, convenient and luxurious. In a new partnership with Grecian Air, they will soon provide transportation from Athens to most of the Greek Islands within 90 minutes by sea plane, letting families spend more time enjoying Greece rather than dealing with lines and crowds at airports and on ferry boats.
