It’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together — with the family — at Lone Mountain Ranch. If family travel takes your group to Big Sky, Montana, and Lone Mountain Ranch this winter season, enjoy the resort’s Sleigh Ride Dinner.
Locals and guests love the Sleigh Ride Dinner experience as it allows families to spend time together while meeting new people, eating delicious food and taking in the winter season. Running for the last more than 35 years, it’s enshrined in the legacy and legend of the area.

A horse-drawn sleigh leaves Lone Mountain Ranch on a 20-minute ride under the stars to an oil lantern-lit North Fork Cabin and a family-style dinner, available December through March. Participants enjoy a classic Montana prime rib dinner, with a pepper and horseradish crust, cooked in a century-old railroad stove alongside shots of honey moonshine whiskey, huckleberry cobbler and wine, while cowboy singer-storytellers enthrall with dinner entertainment for a true Old West experience.
The three-course menu also boasts house-made rye with caraway bread, smoked turkey pot pie, potato leek soup, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables and a kids menu upon request featuring favorites like chicken fingers, mac & cheese and fries.
Outside alcohol is prohibited and sleighs leave daily at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.
