Ocean City, New Jersey, is the ultimate destination for summer family travel. Although the town offers miles of beaches, plenty of shops, restaurants and more, the boardwalk is where most of the fun happens. Whether you go during the day or at night, there are plenty of family-fun activities available.
Start off by grabbing a bite at Manco & Manco’s, the famous OCNJ pizza shop. There are locations on the corners of 8th, 9th and 12th streets. As someone who has gone to Ocean City their whole life, I can vouch Manco & Manco has the best pizza in town.
Next, head to Congo Falls for a competitive round of mini golf. The course takes you through jungle and caves as you play different and challenging holes. Whether keeping score or just playing for fun, your family will create lasting memories.
Once you’ve given your dinner time to digest, visit Castaway Cove for rides and fun! Castaway Cove offers plenty of thrilling rides and games for kids of all ages. Don’t miss out on The Double Shot, my personal favorite. This ride shoots riders 110 feet in the air before dropping them down at fast speeds. Another must-do at Castaway Cove is Galeforce Roller Coaster, where riders experience the loops and turns throughout this thrilling ride.
After you’ve gone on all the rides at Castaway Cove, make your way down the boardwalk to Wonderland Pier. Wonderland Pierfeatures a section of rides specifically catered to the younger travelers. These rides are right when you walk into Wonderland, but if you keep walking, there are plenty of rides for older travelers. Make sure to ride the Canyon Falls Log, especially on the warmer days and nights to cool off.
Lasty, when you’ve hit all the rides, end the night with a delicious dessert. My recommendations are Kohr Brother’s (if you are in the mood for soft serve ice cream) or Polish Water Ice. Both dessert places boast multiple locations along the boardwalk, so keep an eye out for them as you walk back.

Children’s programming and games are standard on most transcontinental flights, and Neos Airlines is no exception. While the Italian carrier is relatively new to the U.S. market, launching its first New York (JFK)–Milan (MXP) flights in 2021, it now counts Rome (FCO); Palermo (PMO); and Bari, Puglia (BRI) (as of June 2025) as destinations from New York. It has also established a niche as an affordable carrier with premium attributes and a soft spot for family travelers.
