If you’ve ever dreamed of embarking on an epic girls’ trip to Antarctica, the time has finally come. And, if you haven’t, it’s time to consider it. Wild Women Expeditions recently announced a first-of-its-kind, women-only expedition to the world’s most mysterious continent.
The company is known for curating women-only experiences around the world in destinations letting travelers see some of the most amazing countries in the world and have life-changing experiences in the process. Destinations include Bhutan, Spain, Jordan, Patagonia and Greenland, just to name a few, and multiday journeys prioritize sustainability, conservation and social responsibility.

Perfect for adventurous sisters, mother and daughter duos, and BFFs up for anything, this incredible adventure celebrates women’s contributions to exploration, culture and science. The journey was curated for women, by women, and will begin in Punta Arenas, Chile, where guests will fly across the Drake Passage before boarding Sylvia Earle, a 130-passenger, carbon neutral vessel. The ship is aptly named in honor of Dr. Sylvia Earle, the esteemed marine biologist, oceanographer and explorer who has done pioneering work on the threats of pollution and overfishing on delicate marine ecosystems.
This 10-day expedition cruise, scheduled to embark Feb. 23, 2027, gives women the chance to participate in a variety of shore excursions and learn about the pioneering work women have done in the field of conservation. It will also be the ideal time of year to observe Antarctica’s native wildlife — baby penguins will be learning to swim, leopard seals and orcas will be busy hunting, and whales will be preparing for their upcoming migration.
Experiences with Wild Women Expeditions are designed to foster learning, friendship, personal transformation and fun by offering a variety of experiences and activities in incredible destinations. Hopefully, this groundbreaking journey will pave the way for a future that embraces more female travel, and nurtures a generation of women travelers committed to self-discovery and socially responsible travel.
