What better setting for grandparents and granddaughters to connect and share than a fairy-tale château set beside a fabulous forest? The Gramping Getaway at Chateau Mcely Spa Hotel & Forest Retreat in Mcely, Czech Republic, offers a themed adventure centering around the charming story of the château’s Princess Nely and her magical cheetah friend Pralinka. The character of the princess is based on the children’s book Nely, the Princess of Chateau Mcely written by château owner Inez Cusumano.

Two-night accommodations await in the Princess Nely Suite. Granddaughters are loaned a princess gown and treated to a Princess Transformation Massage, which includes a massage, hair styling, nose powdering and nail polishing fit for any princess.
During the visit, granddaughters and their grandparents will also enjoy a ride in a horse-drawn carriage and take and optional side trip to explore the labyrinth and gardens at Loučeň Chateau, located close by; or journey to the petting zoo in Chleby. The day ends with resident princesses relaxing in an outdoor whirlpool bubble bath beneath the starry sky, and the choice of a favorite meal prepared by Chateau Mcely’s chef. Other activities include ping-pong, a giant chess set, a swimming lake and a playground with a princess-sized playhouse.
