Family travelers will be happy to know Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket celebrated its final beam needed to complete vertical construction being put into place recently. Now, Turner Construction turns its attention to the family-friendly indoor water park resort’s 549 guest suites; various eateries and retail outlets; 91,000-square-indoor water park; and 61,000-square-foot Great Wolf Adventure Park.
With this milestone in place, Great Wolf Lodge was able to forecast a timetable for opening and is now accepting reservations for stays beginning June 15, 2025. The date may move up as more construction milestones are met this fall and winter.
Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket is part of an agreement with Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, located on 13 acres adjacent to Foxwoods Resort Casino.
“This is an exciting day for the Pequot Nation as we celebrate this significant milestone in the construction of Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket. This new location completes a decades long resort vision and represents our tribe’s dedication to growth and community, along with economic development for our entire region,” said Chairman Rodney Butler of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. “We are honored to be celebrating this moment with our Great Wolf family, and are excited for the property’s opening next year.”

Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket will be the 23rd Great Wolf Lodge in North America and third in the northeastern United States.
“With the exterior of the building now complete, the focus shifts to the interior portions of the resort and completing all the water slides, attractions and entertainment offerings families will enjoy when visiting Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket,” shared John Murphy, chief executive officer, Great Wolf Resorts. “We’re excited to provide families from New York, Connecticut and Rhode Island with a close, convenient and carefree destination that offers year-round family fun and helps create lifelong memories.”
Highlights of the property include the indoor waterpark with body slides, tube slides, raft rides, activity pools and splash areas; a variety of family-friendly attractions at Great Wolf Adventure Park, including MagiQuest; complimentary family events and activities; several dining options; and spacious, family-friendly suites.
