Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort launches brand-new, festive programming for family travelers to take part in this season. The recently opened property unveils its inaugural programming, complete with a myriad of activities to get all into the holiday spirit.

Celebrations begin this month, encouraging guests to embrace the spirit of family through an exciting list of experiences for visitors of all ages.

This season, expect:

• Traditional Hawaiian Lūʻau, enchanting guests with music, dance and storytelling
• A Paniolo Night (Dec. 21), paying homage to the unique Hawaii’an cowboy heritage and barbecue heritage of the Big Island
• Special Thanksgiving Day feasts designed by the property’s world-class culinary team
• Daily experiences beginning each morning by honoring traditional Hawai’ian practices with a canoe paddle or traditional Hawai’ian sunrise chant
• Family-friendly classes both educating and celebrating the vibrant Hawai’ian spirit through hula, lei making, ukulele workshops and more
• Christmas market where guests can explore handcrafted treasures from local vendors
• Santa appearing on Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve celebrations ushering in 2024

The Thanksgiving Day feasts at Kahuwai Cookhouse and Moana focus on family and community, with family-style dishes and three carving stations slated for the dinner.

Holiday festivities at the property continue Dec. 21–Jan. 1, 2024, with a daily menu of immersive experiences spanning wellness, culinary experiences and cultural activities. Even the resort’s Keiki Club for children will include daily Christmas carols, storytelling hours and a gingerbread house contest. 

New Year’s Eve celebrations culminate with fireworks, traditional Hawai’ian fire knife dances and music.
