When it comes to family travel, loads of hotels and resorts go out of their way to welcome kids with special clubs, activities and amenities that appeal to the youngest travelers, including babies. We took a look at two hotel brands that welcome their littlest guests with open arms.
Destination Hotels, with more than 40 luxury and upscale independent hotels throughout the United States and the Caribbean, recently partnered with BabyQuip, the leading global baby gear rental marketplace, to help traveling parents “Pack Light, Travel Far, and Make Lasting Memories” (BabyQuip’s motto). From bathtubs to cars eats, strollers to high chairs, cribs to toys, the BabyQuip concierges will deliver and set up the gear selected in guests’ Destination Hotels rooms, and then pick it up on the day they depart for home, taking some of the stress out of traveling with little ones.
“Destination Hotels is continuously striving to make the vacation experience stress-free and enjoyable for our guests and that’s exactly what this partnership with BabyQuip is helping us accomplish,” says Jamie Sabatier, CEO, Two Roads Hospitality, parent company of Destination Hotels. “BabyQuip takes away the hassle of packing and transporting baby gear on vacation so that families can focus on what’s important – spending quality time with one another.”
“When it comes to traveling families, BabyQuip and Destination Hotels share a common mission — to help guests have fun, restful and memorable vacations with their children,” adds Fran Maier, CEO and co-founder, BabyQuip. “When babies sleep well in comfortable cribs, and are engaged and play happily with age-appropriate equipment and toys during the day, the entire family can relax and recharge.”
Across the pond, with four properties in Portugal, Martinhal Family Hotels & Resorts, founded by Chitra Stern, strives to create a brand specifically with family travelers in mind, while at the same time not compromising on luxurious design or dining.
Prior to arriving at the Martinhal properties, guests are invited to take advantage of the brand’s Baby Concierge service, wherein parents can pre-order baby products so they’re ready when they arrive, ranging from cribs to safety gates, bottle sterilizers and warmers, and even food and diapers.
