“ice!,” the signature frozen Christmas attraction created by Gaylord Hotels, expands to eight destination resorts across the United States — Gaylord Pacific Resort in Chula Vista, California, and JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, while returning to JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas, and Gaylord Hotels nationwide — and introduces three new themes: Harry Potter, Home Alone and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Book special early bird packages or purchase tickets.
The story-driven Christmas experience features more than 2 million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures, including floor-to-ceiling scenes starring characters from holiday classics. More than 300 expert artisans from Harbin, China, spend approximately 40 days using techniques passed down through generations to hand carve 60,000 ice blocks. The Harbin Ice Festival is world-renowned.
Each theme unfolds across more than 10 immersive scenes, with features like two-story ice slides, passageways and photo-worthy spots. As the exhibit is kept at 9 degrees Fahrenheit to preserve the details, the attraction provides signature blue parkas.
