Did you know 43 percent of families are most likely to let kids influence family travel decisions? This recent study by Expedia Group Media Solutions and Northstar Research Partners sheds light on just how much of a say kids have when it comes to family vacations. And, let’s face it, it’s sometimes hard to find the right destination.
Look no further than Frisco, a city just 25 miles north of Dallas, Texas, boasting many kid-friendly and kid-approved attractions and sites. Here’s some top picks:
This 100,000-square-foot interactive city was designed for kids and is run by kids. Through hands-on activities and real-world role playing, children can explore careers, develop skills and learn through play.

Universal Kids Resort
Opening next May, this site will feature themed lands designed for families with young children. This park will include family-friendly attractions, interactive and playful shows, unique merchandise, fun food and beverage venues, and character meet and greets.
Take a tour of Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters, and have kids run out their energy on the field on Tostitos Championship Plaza.
Frisco Commons
Kids can play away at Hope Park at Frisco Commons, an inclusive playground with rubberized flooring, a sensory area, accessible equipment, Picnic Alley, Big Kid Lot and Tot Lot.
Kid-Approved Eateries
Even the pickiest of eaters will find something to enjoy in Frisco. The Aussie Grind serves up cotton candy-topped flapjacks, while Nerdvana offers a unique tabletop experience with game-themed bites. House-made burgers and live music await at Didi’s Downtown, while oversized cookies are on deck at Cookie Society.
