Korean Air Debuts New Children’s Amenity Kits

Korean Air recently introduced new in-flight children’s amenities across its long-, medium- and short-haul routes. These new amenities were first introduced on Children’s Day in Korea this past May, but the collection grew to nine curated items throughout summer, reflecting the diverse needs of different age groups.

The airline now offers two distinct kit types: one for preschool-aged children and another for school-aged children.

Kits features both practical and destination-friendly items, like a hooded beach towel, regular beach towel, memory foam neck pillow, slippers, bed socks and an airplane key ring. In-flight activities include a coloring activity book, a doodle book and a 3-D airplane paper craft.

Amenities vary across routes, with the selection considering the route’s characteristics and season.

Korean Air also upgraded its children’s headphones, replacing its previous reusable headsets that needed to be returned after the flight and which were also unavailable on some short-haul flights. Now, kids on every route or class receive their own pair to keep.

“Our goal was to create moments of joy and comfort, whether it’s a child getting creative at 30,000 feet or resting with their new pillow,” said Dong Wook Lee, managing vice president and head of in-flight service department, Korean Air. “It’s our way of welcoming our youngest guests on board and helping the whole family create wonderful memories together.”
