LEGO Fun for the Whole Family in Washington, D.C.

Shrink down to toy size on your next round of family travel and head to the new LEGO Discovery Center in Washington, D.C. The new center, home to LEGO play, lets families create their own adventures with more than 2 million pieces. There’s a whole world of imagination to explore with new adventures around every corner and 12 interactive zones. Open daily, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., visitors can play, create, ride and dine among stunning structures and dazzling displays.

The 12 zones include Imagination Express, 4D Cinema, Mini World, Creative Club, Build Adventures, Minifigure Creator, Lego Cafe, Tree of Imagination, Spaceship Build & Scan, The Workshop, Hero Adventures and Duplo Park.

Hop aboard the Imagination Express and travel through the giant LEGO world. From a huge bubble bath to outer space, families can collect points along the way with a magic wand — keep an eye out for moles and space pirates. Make it a competition and see who can get the most points!

Looking for a little break? Head to the 4D Cinema Experience for an immersive adventure like no other. Be aware of inclement weather throughout the film, it may even make an appearance in the theater.

Set off on a unique adventure in Mini World, where you discover a land where imagination thrives. The world focuses on fantasy life, but you’ll also find some of Washington, D.C.’s, most recognizable attractions. Guests also have the opportunity to play in some areas as well as take photos in Mini World.
