The country’s longest stainless-steel spiral slide officially debuts at Owl Creek Landing in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Family travelers now have even more reason to visit Owl Creek Landing, an attraction already brimming with thrilling adventures, with the new slide, which drops 65 feet via a spiral.
The slide is accessible from towering Nautilus Tower, modeled after popular European designs, where a pair of interior staircases ascend to the top of the slide. Along the path up are educational stations identifying native trees and wildlife, and an open-air observation deck at the summit provides 360-degree views of the surrounding forest and waterways.

Visitors can enjoy unlimited rides down The Whorl slide with standard admission. Participants use a specially designed slide sack.
A loop measuring about one third of a mile also extends from the tower. This suspended canopy walkway, Treetop Trail, is elevated up to 40 feet above ground, connecting guests to a children’s Treehouse Village. This fun attraction features four interactive treehouses suitable for kids aged 2 and up.

Back on the ground, visitors can explore the half-mile Forest Trail, dotted with educational signage, benches, picnic areas and wildlife-viewing spots. There’s even an I Spy scavenger hunt to further engage kids in exploring the areas.
