This summer, enjoy multisensory and immersive family activity at Museum of Ice Cream.
Entrepreneur and designer Maryellis Bunn and former investment banker and Lightbox CEO Manish Vora created Museum of Ice Cream. Originally debuted as a pop-up in New York’s Meatpacking District in 2016, the museum had instant success and sold 30,000 tickets in just five days. Now, the museum is a cultural phenomenon and offers three locations for family travelers to visit: New York City, Austin and Chicago.
Plenty of A-list celebrities like Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and Jason Sudeikis brought their kids to join in on the ice cream museum fun. With July being National Ice Cream Month and National Ice Cream Day (July 16), now is the perfect time to plan a trip.
Some highlights include:
Immersive Installations
Each location offers a unique variety of interactive installations like a life-sized frosted animal cracker carousel in Austin, an MTA-inspired Celestial Subway in New York and a mini-golf course themed with giant desserts in Chicago. Each place features their own iconic sprinkle pool filled with a colorful assortment of sprinkles made from antimicrobial biodegradable material guests can jump in.
Private Events & Group Bookings
Whether looking for a place to host a unique birthday party, corporate event, wedding or social gathering, Museum of Ice Cream offers a variety of packages for each. There are also add-on options like goodie bags, signature beverages and more.
