Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe plans to open in late 2023 as the brand’s first mountain resort. Currently operating as Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, the 399-room property is undergoing a multimillion-dollar complete transformation to reopen as Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe just in time for the winter ski season. The property will be the only all-suite resort in the south Lake Tahoe basin, and Davidson Resorts will manage the property.

“We are so excited to share this iconic brand with one of the premier year-round adventure and ski destinations in the United States,” said Steve Contos, executive vice president, Davidson Resorts. “With the property’s opening, we invite travelers to experience the escapism of Margaritaville in a whole new setting, whether they’re seeking an action-packed vacation or a relaxing getaway.”
Each of the 399 suites will boast views of the lake or mountains. Starting at 599 square feet, the accommodations feature separate bedroom and living spaces with a dining table and bar. Select suites feature in-room fireplaces. The resort will be home to an indoor heated pool; a nine-story, open-air indoor atrium; and several bars and restaurants.

The property marks the brand’s fourth West Coast lodging property, following the openings of Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs, Compass Hotel by Margaritaville Medford and Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter (opening August 2023).
