As family travelers well know, traveling as a family sometimes comes with challenges — that’s why iCandy, which sells travel strollers and other similar items, compiled a list of the world’s Top 50 Family-Friendly Airports.

To create the Airport Family-Friendly Index, the brand examined 117 global airports based on availability of key amenities for families, including restaurants, play areas, feeding/pumping rooms, rentable strollers and family assistance at security. To ensure a fair comparison across airports of different sizes, the data was normalized by calculating the number of amenities per million passengers, with each feature weighted based on its importance to traveling families, with play areas and feeding facilities receiving higher emphasis. The final rankings reflect not only the quantity of family-friendly features, but also how effectively airports provide for
families in proportion to the number of people they serve.
The first U.S. airport to appear on the list, at No. 23, is Memphis International Airport, which features a children’s play area, five nursing lounges, family restrooms and family-friendly dining options. The airport continuously focuses on enhancing travelers’ experiences, and its recent terminal revitalization work has been receiving recognition.
