Paintbox is now in a standalone, on-site building spanning 960 square feet with an additional 240-square-foot screened porch. The space boasts a beautiful mural, hand painted by a local artist. Many of the program’s activities follow the resort’s naturalist program, developed by resident naturalist Cassie Critchlow.
Kids participate in a variety of daily activities including nature walks, wilderness exploration, regionally inspired crafting and Lowcountry imaginative play. The program also highlights Montage Merits, a brand-wide offering inspired by scouting principles. Participants receive destination-specific merit badges commemorating their stays.
“We are excited to usher in spring by opening the doors to our new Paintbox program, giving children a place of their own to experience the wonders of our resort and the region we call home,” said Jon McGaunn, general manager, Montage Palmetto Bluff. “With its blend of supervised activities designed to spark joy, Paintbox remains a pillar of our family programming and a draw for our guests with children each year.”
