Beaches Resorts is already a perfect getaway for family travelers looking for an inclusive all-inclusive getaway in either Jamaica or Turks & Caicos, but the brand is also the first resort company in the world to complete and receive IBCCES Certification and Autism Certification. Beaches Resorts strives to offer families of children with autism and other special needs comfort, specialized services, engaging activities and a welcoming environment for a memorable vacation.
Beaches Resorts provides a wide variety of services for guests with autism and other special needs:
Beaches Buddies
Access one-on-one support through Beaches Buddies, accredited by IBCCES, which offers personalized help during their entire stay or just for a few hours.
Special Services Team
During the planning process and vacation, families can reach out to Beaches’ Special Services team, a dedicated, toll-free hotline for personalized recommendations, suite suggestions based on sensory triggers, arrangement for special products and airport shuttle services.
Sensory Guides are helpful tools designed for neurodivergent guests and those with cognitive disabilities. These guides feature resort maps with a –10 scale rating, which identifies the level of sensory stimulation in public areas like the pool, dining areas and more.
Beaches Resorts properties are also home to the Caribbean’s first autism-friendly kids’ camp. Staff members go through 40 hours of sensitivity training in order to be able to provide the best support they can. These camps have specially designed toys and comfort aids for children of all ages.
Sensory-Friendly Accommodations
Each property in the portfolio also offers a variety of multibedroom accommodations with luxury amenities such as butler service, full kitchens and private pools, allowing guests to limit exposure to high-sensory areas.
Beaches recently welcomed beloved character, Julia. Four-year-old Julia has autism and helps guests express themselves through an engaging activity, Amazing Art with Julia
Recently, Beaches extended its all-inclusive options to offer special scuba diving courses for travelers on the spectrum.
This October, Beaches will host its second annual Autism Inclusion Week, filled with specially designed events and activities for children on the autism spectrum and their families.
