New Hilton Report Shows What All Ages Want from Travel

Trying to plan a multigen trip? You may anticipate trouble finding a travel destination, activities and more to appeal to every member of your crew. However, a new report from Hilton found there are certain experiences all travelers want right now, regardless of generation.

Hilton’s third annual generational travel report found all generations, Gen Z to Baby Boomers, hope to “rest and recharge” during 2024 trips. Across the board, travelers look for travel brands to help them get a good night’s sleep.

Likewise, across all generations, opportunities for connectivity and personalized experiences take center stage. As has been the case for the last few years, travelers of all ages are looking to immerse themselves in the local communities they visit, with the report pointing specifically to culinary experiences as a priority. Bleisure travel also continues to be popular.

According to Jason Dorsey, generational consultant for the report, “One important finding…is the cross-generational priority for connectivity and personalization throughout the travel experience. This bodes well for fueling innovation in the travel industry and for travel leaders, like Hilton, that are creating new and unique experiences that attract all four generations of adult travelers.”
