The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and its first-floor bar and restaurant Thorn Restaurant & Lounge, are celebrating moms this year with an exclusive Mother’s Day High Tea May 9. Available at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., the tea is $60 a person or $30 for children 12 and under. The price includes complimentary parking, live music from Dina Bach and a curated menu.
If you’d like to make a weekend of it for mom, the Mother’s Day Package at The Rose Hotel includes tickets for two to High Tea, shopping coupons to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago, a one-night stay, continental breakfast for two and more.
The tea begins with either Blooming Flower Green Tea, which blossoms into a flower as it flavors your tea, or a Teavana. The selection of tea sandwiches includes egg salad; roasted turkey; a leak and Parmesan croissant; and crab cake. For desserts, options include macarons, apple turnovers, a strawberry tart and a chocolate sponge cake. MOMosas and Signature Rosemosas can be purchased for $7 and $12, respectively.
“As a mom myself, I know how hard this past year has been for those juggling work schedules with family schedules,” said Micaela Haas, general manager, The Rose Hotel Chicago O’Hare, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. “We wanted to give back to all moms by creating an elevated High Tea event and Mother’s Day Package that allows moms to escape to a place where they can finally take a much-needed breath and truly enjoy their special day.”
