We rarely get two chances to celebrate the New Year, but, with the new Lunar New Year long weekend package in San Francisco, families can do just that. Plan ahead for the Feb. 8–March 6, 2019, festivities and check in with a Hilton Hotel participating in the seasonal festivities.

Both Parc 55 San Francisco — a Hilton Hotel and Hilton San Francisco Union Square offer Lunar New Year long weekend packages. Travelers and even locals can check in for a long weekend vacation surrounded by a mix of fun excursions and leisure activities, all focused on the Lunar New Year.

Spend the day exploring the city at your own pace and stop in the Asian Art Museum with the kids. Visit the local shops and various city landmarks, including the must-visit Chinatown neighborhood. A standout from others, San Francisco’s Chinatown is one of the oldest in the country and easily one of the most impressive. Stroll through the Dragon’s Gate into a busy city street lined with authentic shops, restaurants, herbalists, bakeries, karaoke bars and the Chinese Historical Society of America Museum.

So, what exactly is the deal? It’s refreshingly simple: Hilton San Francisco Union Square’s Lunar New Year Long Weekender package offers guests easy access to Union Square attractions from the iconic cable cars and downtown shops and eateries. The package is $209 per night, Friday and Saturday, based on double occupancy and a 50 percent discount on the third night, Sunday. The package includes accommodations and discounted tickets to the Asian Art Museum’s “Kimono Refashioned” exhibit, which can be booked through the hotel.

Parc 55 San Francisco’s Lunar New Year Long Weekender package is also $209 per night, Saturday and Sunday, with a half-price discount on the third night. This offer includes a standard king room and discounted tickets to the Asian Art Museum’s “Kimono Refashioned” exhibit.

While the Lunar New Year is actually Feb. 5, the city celebrates with an epic parade Feb. 23, 5–9 p.m. The day-long parade is known to be one of the best in the world and between the elaborate floats, incredible costumes, firecrackers and iconic Lunar New Year imagery, it’s easy to see why.

Ring in the New Year with another New Year — the Lunar celebrations in San Francisco are family-friendly so you can easily bring kids of all ages. The weekender deals may only be good for the weekend, but the Lunar New Year festivities and attractions are celebrated month-long.
