Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is the perfect destination for spring family travel. The Amish town has plenty of fun activities for families of all ages!
Kick off the weekend by checking into Cartoon Network Hotel, which features character-themed guestrooms. With adventure around every corner, kids can spend time in the Ben 10 Omnicade Toon Room kids’ play area, play with cartoon-themed virtual reality games and more. If it’s warm enough, relax at the Adventure Time land of P’Ool, or splash around with Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup at the Powerpuff Girls Splashville splash pad.

After a good night’s rest, it’s time to head next door to Dutch Wonderland for a day full of fun and adventure. As you walk into the park, you are immediately transported into a story book. If you love roller coasters, don’t miss out on Merlyn Mayhem, Kingdom Coaster and the Joust Family Coaster. If roller coasters aren’t your speed, there are plenty of other rides like bumper cars, the sky ride and much more. There are also water rides, so if it’s warm out, don’t forget your swimsuits! A day at Dutch Wonderland can be tiring, so it’s a bonus staying just next door.
The next day, head to breakfast at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. The smorgasbord buffet offers 200 feet of delicious, authentic Pennsylvania Dutch cooking! Some of Lancaster County’s finest cooks prepare all your favorite Pennsylvania Dutch Foods and exciting new dishes.
Before you head home, stop by the Strasburg Rail Road for scenic rides. Hop on for an authentic steam train ride through Lancaster County’s famous Amish Country. Relax as you travel through 2,500 acres of picturesque countryside.
