Spooky Family Fun at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, Wonders of Wildlife

Find spooky fun for the whole family on travels this Halloween season. Both Missouri’s Dogwood Canyon Nature Park and Wonders of Wildlife aquarium offer fun for kids of any age.

 

Scary Shark Feeding

On Oct. 29, 1–2 p.m., at the Out to Sea exhibit at WOW, visitors can watch the shark feeding. The complimentary experience does not require reservations.

Trick or Treat Time

Also on Oct. 29, 4–7 p.m., trick-or-treat on Sunshine Street. This unique experience at Wonders of Wildlife takes costumed visitors to the depths below to collect candy. The event is free, but general admission is required.

 

Teen Night – Halloween Bash

Register by Oct. 22 for this 13-year-old-and-older event offering games, food, music and more. Teens participate in a scavenger hunt through the aquarium, a mini fall festival and movie watching, with costumes encouraged.

Dogwood Canyon Nature Park Critter Encounters

Meet and greet live animals when attending Critter Encounters on Oct. 31, 11 a.m.–12 p.m., and learn about their biology and behavior. Animals range from snakes, salamanders, turtles, spiders and even hissing cockroaches. The open, walk-up experiences are included with park admission.

 

Find additional seasonal fun at Ozarks’ Lost Soul Maze at Big Cedar Lodge. The 3,700-square-foot maze hides spooky spirits of the Ozarks’ past. At $10 per person for day guests and $7 for overnight guests, children under 13 must be with an adult.
