Travel insurance provider Allianz Partners recently revealed the results of its 2022 spring break travel survey, just in time for those making family travel plans. Spring break bookings for 2022 are up an astounding 134 percent over 2021.
Americans want to escape to warm-weather destinations both domestically and abroad. Of those planning spring break trips, 81 percent will travel within the continental United States. Florida is the most popular domestic destination, with five cities in the top five. Orlando takes the top spot, for the sixth year in a row. Big cities are also popular for travelers, with New York and Los Angeles placing in the top 10. Mexico is most popular for those traveling internationally, taking the top three spots. Caribbean islands are another popular option for travelers.
