Allianz Partners USA recently revealed the results of its annual Top 10 Thanksgiving Destinations Index. The travel insurance company reviewed more than 750,000 travel itineraries around the Thanksgiving holiday. Flights departing Nov. 23–28 and returning Nov. 29–Dec. 3 were considered in the study.
Since 2017, New York City, New York, has placed in the No. 1 spot, except in 2020 when Seattle, Washington, held first place. Two cities in Florida (Orlando and Miami) placed in the top 10. Dallas, Texas, moved up in the ranking from No. 6 in 2023 to No. 3 this year.
For international destinations, Cancún, Mexico, comes in at No. 1 for the fifth year in a row. San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, places second, also for the fifth year in a row. Mexico has four cities in the top 10. Overall, warm-weather destinations rank most popular, with eight cities in the top 10.
The top 10 domestic destinations are:

- Atlanta, Georgia
- Los Angeles, California
- Boston, Massachusetts
