Step right up to the greatest show on Earth as FXExpress Publications, Global Traveler, trazeetravel.com and whereverfamily.com celebrate their 2020 award winners! Join the big top on Dec. 14 as we virtually award the winners of the 17th annual GT Tested Reader Survey awards, including the Airline and Hotel of the Year; the 17th annual Wines on the Wing Airline Wine Survey; the eighth annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards; the sixth annual The Trazees; and the third annual Wherever Awards.
For 17 years, the GT Tested Reader Survey awards have been the most respected in the luxury business travel industry. Winners are named based on the results of an open-ended reader survey. Survey ballots are included in the print issue and at globaltravelerusa.com January–August. The survey awards airlines, hotels, airports, travel providers, destinations and credit card companies. From Best Overall Airline in the World to Best Luggage Brand, the GT Tested Reader Survey awards are truly a reflection of the best of the best in the luxury travel industry.
As part of the GT Tested Reader Survey awards, for the 10th year, a select panel of Global Traveler employees and Advisory Board members choose the Airline and Hotel of the Year winners based on experience and independent research on financial data, occupancy rates, load factors, on-time figures, safety records, brand image and menus.
The annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards celebrates the best in leisure travel. Winners are named based on the results of an open-ended reader survey. Survey ballots are included in the print issue and at globaltravelerusa.com October–January. A subsection of Special Achievement Awards is also awarded and selected by Global Traveler employees, as is Cruise Line of the Year. These award the best in destinations, resorts, cruise lines and more.
The Wines on the Wing Airline Wine Survey is an annual competition where airlines are invited to submit current wines served in first and business class. A panel of wine experts and sommeliers do a blind tasting of the wine to determine winners in these categories.
The Trazees celebrate the best in the travel industry determined by travelers ages 25–40. Winners are named based on the results of an open-ended reader survey from an online ballot which runs on trazeetravel.com December–March. Millennial travelers dub their favorites in a range of categories, from airlines and airports to hotels and destinations.
Whereverfamily.com is a web-based publication written for modern traveling families. WhereverFamily delivers fresh content on a range of family travel topics, including cruising, destinations and important tips across all budgets and age groups, crafted by a network of family travel experts. Whereverfamily.com’s Wherever Awards are named based on the results of an open-ended reader survey. Survey ballots are included on whereverfamily.com September–April, and the categories and winners reflect the content of the web-based publication.
Visit globaltravelerusa.com, trazeetravel.com and whereverfamily.com on Dec. 14, 3 p.m. EST, to join the greatest show on Earth, our 2020 virtual awards ceremony. Which companies do you think will be named winners? Tune in to find out!
