12 Days of Sabrage
The third annual 12 Days of Sabrage will be held nightly at 5:30 p.m., Dec. 10–21, in The St. Regis Holiday Atelier, inviting guests to experience Champagne sabering, a ritual at The St. Regis hotels worldwide dating back to 1904. Special nightly guests of honor, including Chicago-based actors, journalists, tastemakers and TV hosts, perform this ritual. On Dec. 20 and 21, Santa Claus will lead the Sabrage.
Seasonal Wellness at The St. Regis Spa Chicago
Chicago’s only Forbes Five-Star Spa features bespoke treatments, a heated indoor pool and views of the city. On Dec. 4, the spa’s signature ticketed immersive Floating Pool Meditation & Sound Bath Experience, titled The Cold Moon, will be held.
Family Traditions & The Astor Treasure Chest
Families visiting Chicago can enjoy the Family Traditions Package, including daily breakfast for four, monogrammed children’s robes, a festive welcome amenity and a seasonal itinerary of family-friendly activities. At the heart of the experience is the Astor Treasure Chest, with board games, books, sweet treats and other surprises.
Giving Back
The St. Regis Chicago continues to partner with nonprofit Cradles to Crayons. Find coat drop-off boxes in the lobby; donations will be made on behalf of each 12 Days of Sabrage guest of honor.

Nov 12, 2025Why It’s Important to Teach Kids How to Use Maps
The next time you’re on a family travel road trip — even a short one — try giving your kids an old-fashioned paper road map. If you don’t have one, your nearest visitor center will likely have highway maps for your state. Show them where you are and where you are going, and suggest they follow along on the map as you travel.
