Oh, the places you’ll go! Onboard Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Horizon, that is. Debuting April 2018, Carnival Horizon honors the beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss with the Dr. Seuss WaterWorks waterpark — perfect entertainment for young travelers and nostalgia inducing for parents and guardians.

Expect all things Seuss-inspired including Thing 1 and Thing 2 lighting effects and large quotes and images from famous Seuss works throughout the park. Kids of all ages enjoy rides from the 150-gallon, red-and-white tipping bucket — in honor of The Cat’s hat — along with a kiddie splash zone boasting dozens of water spray toys. Adventurous guests choose from two waterslides, the polka dot body slide or the larger-than-life Cat in the Hat waterslide.
Younger guests enjoy a Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with The Cat in the Hat and friends. Check out the Seuss-a-Palooza Parade and unwind with the kids at story time. The 133,500-ton cruise ship carries nearly 4,000 passengers and is ideal for families with young kids and children.
Set sail on Disney Cruises’ Disney Dream for the ultimate “Be Our Guest” treatment. The ship originally launched in 2011, but the newly added Beauty and the Beast events and activities will enchant fans of all ages.
Beginning in November, Disney’s Dream includes a live musical production of the tale as old as time, inspired by the beloved animated classic from 1991 and the blockbuster live-action 2017 remake. Sail for three to four nights from Port Canaveral, Fla., to the Bahamas enjoying a multicourse French dinner and appearances by Mrs. Potts, Cogsworth and Lumiere.

Beyond Beauty and the Beast themes, Dream offers other kid-friendly activities, including fan favorite, the Aqua Duck. This transparent tube slides guests over the ocean and the ship’s top decks.
