For families interested in all things spooky, Hunterdon County features several scary options. Visit The Red Mill Museum Village’s annual Haunted Red Mill experience and prepare to be scared. The experience runs Oct. 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28. Geared more toward younger visitors, Happy Haunt at Red Mill (Oct. 14, 21 and 28) offers a kid-friendly Halloween experience complete with friendly ghouls and hayrides. Learn about the spirits haunting the town of Flemington, New Jersey, on a Flemington Ghost Walk. Led by real paranormal investigators, the walk stops at 15 locations. Bookings for September and October dates are currently open.
New Jersey is called the Garden State for a reason! Plan a pick-your-own apple or pumpkin excursion at one of Hunterdon County’s many farms. Melicks Town Farm, Bonacorsi Berry Farm, Peterson Family Farm, Cervenka Farm and Phillips Farm are all great options.

Attend the Milford Alive all-day street festival on Sept. 23. Dating back to 1982, when it was known as Milford Fall Festival & Bed Race, the festival features live music, food, fireworks and the unique Bed Race.
