Let your kids get creative on your next family trip to RISONARE Osaka (at Hyatt Regency Osaka), Hoshino Resort. This recently unveiled kid-friendly concept hotel by Japan’s most renowned hospitality brand seeks to foster children’s biggest and brightest ideas.
RISONARE Osaka’s hands-on philosophy is rooted in the Reggio Emilia Approach, one of the most advanced early childhood education programs, which goes far beyond resort pools and kids club entertainment amenities. Hoshino worked with Machino Research Institute, the only Japanese organization in the Reggio Emilia network, to integrate this philosophy into guest experiences.
Children can also participate in projects to deepen their creative expression through dialogue with atelieristas. Themes of the projects can be anything spatial, structural or visual. There are also plenty of other experiences available where kids can either participate by themselves or in large groups.
Other highlights of the experience include:
- Visiting Japan’s largest atelier, located on the 28th floor overlooking Osaka Bay
- Dedicated RISONARE atelieristas on call to help kids through the creative process
- Atelier concept rooms featuring climbing ropes hanging from the ceiling and special crayons for drawing on windows and walls
- A fun and educational guest experience built around the Reggio Emilia Approach, recognized for its pedagogical principles and nurtured approach to creativity, emphasizing independent learning through collaboration

Dec 4, 2024Brave an Alpaca Stampede in Central Oregon
Alpacas are all the rage lately, and for good reason. They are adorable and, when you feed them, it feels like little bunny kisses in the palm of your hand. In other words, visiting an alpaca farm is a great activity for family travelers. In Central Oregon, at Crescent Moon Ranch in the city of Terrebonne, you can pay a visit to these fluffy, gentle creatures at a working alpaca farm. While the owners of the ranch raise alpacas for show, breeding and sale, visitors can walk the farm from pen to pen to feed the alpacas. While you can’t go in the pens, they will run to the fence, eager to get a few bites of the food pellets available for purchase at the on-site shop. The trick is making sure every animal gets a share of the food instead of just the bullies trying to hog the spotlight.
