Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, constantly upgrades its experiences, rides, shows and more in order to keep guests coming back for more. Within the four parks, waterparks, hotels, villas and Disney Springs, the area underwent a plethora of changes over the past few years.

With the opening of Disneyland California Adventure’s Avengers Campus, WDW couldn’t let DCA be the only one with Avengers-themed rides. Now at EPCOT, guests can help Peter Quill (Star-Lord), Rocket, Groot and the rest of the gang save the galaxy on the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster.

Also in EPCOT, in the World Showcase, guests can set out on an adventure with Remy from the hit movie Ratatouille, where they will shrink down to the size of Chef Remy to help save the day on a culinary adventure.

In Magic Kingdom, Imagineers gear up for the opening of the new Tron Lightcycle Run rollercoaster in Tomorrowland. Currently, the ride is in its testing phase and hopes to be fully opened later this year.

The iconic Splash Mountain is set to undergo a complete re-theme. Say goodbye to Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah and hello to Princess Tiana. The ride will soon become a Princess and The Frog theme, which the company hopes will be open to the public in 2024.

Lastly, the Magic Band is getting an upgrade. Guests can now experience more magic with the Magic Band+. As part of the 50th anniversary, the Magic Band+ will let guests interact with nighttime spectaculars as the band lights up or reacts to the special 50th sculptures located throughout the four parks.
