With record-breaking visitors in 2024, Dominica is a hot spot for family travelers in 2025. New hotels and attractions are slated to debut throughout the year.
Dominica will be easier to get to than ever thanks to a second direct flight from the United States with United Airlines launching Feb. 15. The new route operates weekly on Saturday from Newark Liberty International Airport.
Dominica is also set to welcome new hotels in 2025, adding about 500 rooms total with a 25 percent overall increase in hotel inventory. Anichi Resort and Spa, Tranquility Beach Dominica, Ocean Edge Hotel and Sanctuary Rainforest Eco Resort and Spa are among the highly anticipated openings. More than 375,000 cruise passengers are expected to visit Dominica this cruise season, including inaugural visits from Princess Cruises, MSC Cruises and Virgin Voyages.
A cable car to Boiling Lake debuts in late 2025, offering improved access to the island’s natural wonders for visitors and locals alike. The cable car will boast 65 cabins, each accommodating 10 individuals. Dominica launches the world’s first Whale Reserve in 2025, offering visitors unrivaled opportunities to witness whales in their natural habitat. For travelers focused on wellness, the all-villa Secret Bay resort launches its Longevity Wellness Program in 2025.
“Dominica’s focus on nature and sustainability continues to be the driving force of our growth,” said Marva Williams, CEO, Discover Dominica. “Visitors are coming to Dominica to connect with nature, see the beauty of our natural wonders, and connect with our culture.”
