Marina del Rey, California, offers family travelers exciting new opportunities in 2026.

 

Marina del Rey Marriott expands its programming through new partnerships with Golden Wave Surf School for surf lessons and The Sun Cycle for guided coastal biking excursions. These partnerships come following the recent completion of a property-wide renovation.

The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey welcomes a new executive chef, overseeing all culinary offerings at the hotel. The property also recently debuted three new pickleball courts. Jamaica Bay Inn, Tapestry Collection by Hilton unveiled a guestroom and meeting space redesign, in addition to welcoming a new executive chef.

 

Marina del Rey’s evolving dining scene offers new and anticipated openings. Newest openings include STOA Wine Bar for curated wines, Café Cache for French bistro classics, and Paradise Bowls for açaí and pitaya bowls. Burrito spot Wake & Late and pizzeria Chill Since ’93 are set to debut later this year.

Take advantage of Marina del Rey’s waterfront location and check out Pro SUP Shop. The shop offers rentals and lessons in stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. For locals or travelers on extended stays, opt for a limited-time monthly membership for only $99. Browse the many shops at Waterside, including newly opened Bluemercury and FP Movement. For artistic travelers, visit Bitter Root Pottery Aqueous, a waterfront pottery studio offering group and private classes.
