Travel Tips

Want to get away last-minute to celebrate Easter as a family? Look no further than these five options.

The Wauwinet, Nantucket

Just wrapping up renovations this month and reopening for guests April 18, the beautiful Wauwinet in Nantucket will win over your family with its new guestroom decor and bathrooms. Beyond the upgrades, though, you’ll still love the hotel’s classic seaside charm and historic architecture. Over Easter, the hotel hosts a special getaway that ensures everyone has a great time on this holiday where — let’s face it — sometimes the kids get all the fun, what with the Easter Bunny, chocolate and egg hunts. The Easter for Adults package includes an egg hunt for the grownups during Easter brunch, as well as dinner for two.

The Savoy, London

If you fancy an Easter celebration across the pond, The Savoy is happy to host you. You have two options for an elegant Easter meal. Dine at Kaspar’s at The Savoy for Easter Sunday brunch, where the expansive Easter menu includes an oyster shucking station, brunch classics and specially created holiday pastries.

If you’d prefer to sleep in on Sunday and enjoy an Easter Monday lunch, you can do so at Simpson’s in the Strand, where all eyes are on the traditional roast. Obviously Easter calls for Welsh lamb.

Sugar Beach, St. Lucia

For a sunny and warm Easter, Sugar Beach in St. Lucia delivers with its Easter 2018 children’s programming. There are Easter-themed events happening all month long for both kids and teens, including egg hunts, Easter glow parties, Easter card making, a visit from the Easter Bunny, Easter afternoon tea parties and more.

Copper Mountain, Colorado

Copper Mountain Resort hosts the world’s largest Easter egg hunt this year, with 65,000 eggs spread all across the property. There are multiple hunts throughout the day, and a grand finale hunt taking place at the top of the American Eagle lift. Kids have the chance to earn all kinds of cool prizes, everything from tech to tickets.

Bettoja Hotels, Rome

If you happen to be in Rome for the holiday, stay at any Bettoja Hotels property in the city and you can have your own little Easter picnic courtesy of the property. Guests receive a gourmet Easter picnic basket, with an Easter Casatiello Napoletano pizza, cheese and sausage pie, asparagus quiche, fruit, chocolate eggs and traditional Italian Easter cake. You have everything you need to head out for a picnic in the beautiful Roman location of your choice.
