Don’t worry family travelers, it’s not too late to book a spring break adventure packed with family-friendly fun, sunshine and outdoor adventures. Need some inspiration?
Spring in Chattanooga includes vibrant colors and outdoor fun. The destination features more than 50 trailheads within 30 minutes of downtown, kayaking along the Tennessee River, waterfall hikes, and city views at High Point Climbing and Fitness. Baseball fans will be excited to hear The Lookouts, the Cincinnati Reds farm team, will open its new home, Erlanger Park, on April 14. Additionally, families can experience hands-on learning at Tennessee Aquarium, ride the rails at Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum or tap into their creative side at Creative Discovery Museum.
San Antonio celebrates spring with its 135th annual Fiesta, riverfront celebrations and new attractions. Experience the final days of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, participate in St. Patrick’s Day festivities along the green river on the River Walk and more. The city is also home to three exciting theme parks: SeaWorld San Antonio; Six Flags Fiesta Texas; and Morgan’s Wonderland, the first and only amusement park created for mobility-challenged and neurodivergent guests.
Although Missouri might not be at the top of many spring break travel lists, the destination offers plenty of fun for all ages. The Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, part of the Johnny Morris Conservation Foundation, allows visitors to interact with limited-engagement mermaids, swim with sharks and see unique wildlife. Head to Dogwood Canyon Nature Park for blooming dogwoods, guided wildlife tours, fishing, hiking, biking and horseback riding. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as elk, bison and longhorns.
