Destinations

A recent survey showed millennial and Gen Z travelers are more likely to book a guided tour compared to older generations. If you have millennial or Gen Z travelers in your family, here are some immersive guided tours to book for your next family travels.

New Zealand Guided Hiking

Explore New Zealand’s North and South Islands on foot during a 15-day, small-group tour from Adventure Life. Keep an eye out for glow worms in Waitomo’s caves, experience Māori culture and geothermal wonders in Rotorua, trek the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, explore the golden beaches and native forest of the Abel Tasman Coast Track, explore the glacial landscapes of the Southern Alps, and see marine wildlife in Milford Sound.

Girona Road and Gravel Riding

Set out on a seven-day tour of world-class roads and less-traveled gravel paths of Girona, Spain, with The Cycling House. Enjoy cycling routes along the rugged Costa Brava, through farmlands and vineyards and around the foothills of the Pyrenees. Guests on the tour will enjoy a stay in a large villa, chef-prepared meals with authentic Spanish ingredients and stops at favorite local restaurants.

Cruising Ancient Türkiye

Sail along the coast of ancient Caria and Ionia aboard a traditional gulet while stopping at some of Türkiye’s most important archaeological sites with Peter Sommer Travels’ eight-day cruise. With the help of an expert guide, guests have the opportunity to explore the remains of the port town of Iasos, the mountaintop sanctuary of Zeus at Labraunda, the vast ruins of Miletus, Temple of Apollo at Didyma and the wooded Prienne.

Historic Arizona Ranch Stay

Kay El Bar Guest Ranch has hosted travelers for more than 100 years and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Families visiting the ranch can explore the cactus forests, slot canyons, sandy washes and rocky ridges of the Sonoran Desert and the Hassayampa River through a guided horseback ride or UTV tour.

Guided Big Sky Wonders

With The Wilson Hotel as home base, set out on a variety of adventures in Big Sky, Montana. You’ll have the opportunity to book guided tours of Yellowstone National Park and its natural wonders and wildlife, as well as hike, mountain bike, ski, fly fish, raft, dog sled and snowmobile.

Alaska Northern Lights Adventure

With Gondwana Ecotours’ eight-day Alaska Northern Lights Adventure, guests get a one-of-a-kind chance to experience the aurora borealis at night. Tour highlights include dogsledding, curling lessons, meals with homesteaders, geothermal hot springs, snowshoeing and more.

Best of Both Worlds

Enjoy the best of both worlds when you fly with TAP Air Portugal thanks to the Portugal Stopover program. With the program, TAP passengers, whether traveling for business, leisure or both, can stop in Portugal for up to 10 days at no additional airfare on the way to their final destination. What does this mean for travelers wishing to explore by both land and sea? It means after flying to Portugal with TAP and experiencing the country in an entirely new way, travelers can then embark on scenic river and ocean cruises from  Portugal’s port cities, or fly with TAP to another European destination.
