Age Specific / Multigenerational

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, enchants travelers with beautiful fall foliage and spectacular seasonal offerings. Grand Geneva Resort & Spa offers plenty of fall fun for families visiting this season.

Fall Flavors

The resort’s culinary team serves a selection of fall treats from drinks like pumpkin spice lattes and apple crisp macchiatos to desserts including Dutch apple pie with sour cream, apple cider ice cream and sugar pie pumpkin panettone. Additionally, the resort offers guests a Fall into Flavor deal which comes with two coffees from Grand Central, two desserts from Geneva ChopHouse or Ristorante Brissago and a $50 dining credit. The deal is available Sunday–Thursday, through Nov. 15.

Scoot Around

Rent a scooter from Lake Geneva Scooter Tours and Rentals at Grand Geneva. Spend time exploring the resort on your own, or book a guided tour. A valid driver’s license is needed to rent the scooter and guests must participate in a brief, on-site instruction before setting off on their scooter adventure.

Horses and Hayrides

Dan Patch Stables, located on the property, offers guests horseback riding opportunities. Families or couples can enjoy a carriage ride. Pony rides are available for kids. Book a 45-minute guided trail ride across the hundreds of acres of Grand Geneva’s property. The stables also offer haunted hayrides this season. Every Friday and Saturday in October, rides are available 6 p.m.–midnight. The first hayrides of the evening (6–6:45 p.m.) are less scary and designated for younger children. The real scares come on rides 7 p.m. and later. Sunday rides are available Oct. 10 and 31. Hayrides cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages 5–10. Children 4 and younger ride for free.

Check the Wisconsin fall color report to help plan your visit for prime foliage viewing.

See the Midnight Sun in Fairbanks, Alaska

Take a hike at midnight, watch a midnight baseball game without stadium lights, enjoy round-the-clock music and entertainment at a state fair: The sun never sets on summer fun in Fairbanks. For 70 days, from May 17 until July 27, the sun doesn’t drop far enough below the horizon for the sky to get dark, and family travelers will find plenty of ways to enjoy all that daylight.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
