Destinations / Asia

Travel to South Korea is on the rise, and not just because of influencers looking for the next big thing. Inside Asia, a company built around a love for travel and, more specifically, a love for travel to Asia, spent more than two decades carefully curating and delivering personalized tours to some of Asia’s most incredible destinations. While these experiences run the gamut of destinations and activities, one in particular, the South Korea Family Adventure, is designed specifically for families to explore one of Asia’s most fascinating destination with an itinerary designed to meet the needs and interests of families traveling with children.

The experience focuses on a limited number of destinations within South Korea (Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island), making things easier for families to manage. With less time spent traveling between numerous destinations, there is less stress on mom and dad and more time focusing on what matters most. The destinations and activities you will experience have all been carefully selected by Inside Asia’s experts to offer fun, authentic experiences introducing you to the country’s food and culture, along with exciting attractions to let you experience the country’s beautiful natural landscape.

In Seoul, where you will spend the first four days of this 14-day trip, you can explore the busy city by bicycle, letting you get a true feel for the local landscape while you visit popular sites like Gyeongbok Palace. There will also be plenty of time to experience nature when you visit nearby Nami Island for some zip lining fun.

If you want to escape the city’s modern vibes, K-Pop and state-of-the-art technology, you can head to Namsangol Hanok Village, a special attraction offering you a glimpse into a bygone era. This village is a perfect recreation of a traditional village, complete with five traditional houses (known as hanok) from the Joseon era. While there, take part in traditional Korean games for a fun, family-friendly experience introducing the whole family to Korean history and culture.

You’ll spend the second leg of your trip in Busan, the country’s second-largest city. There, you and the kids will love taking a ride on Busan Air Cruise cable cars, which carry you over the water in a suspended cable car, giving you sweeping views of the city and the coastline. During this leg you’ll get to visit the nearby city of Tongyeong, famous for its street luge down the mountainside (your tour should definitely include this experience!) and its 600-year-old fish market, Jagalchi.

The final days of your trip will be spent relaxing on Jeju Island, the most popular vacation spot in South Korea for locals. While this part of the trip is designed to give you a chance to explore on your own in a rental car and get a taste of relaxing island life (plenty of beach time and hiking opportunities), Inside Asia can curate any number of experiences to complete your personalized South Korean vacation. This unique blend of personal time and planned activities not only rounds out your stay in the country, it also ensures families get exactly what they are looking for from one of the world’s most incredible destinations.
