Beyond Green, dedicated to promoting sustainable and responsible hospitality, had a stellar year in 2024. The company partners with luxury resorts and hotels committed to protecting their local communities and ushering in a new future in hospitality, one where every detail is designed to leave no trace. Parents can teach their little ones the importance of family travel with a conscience and preserving the future of our planet.
Between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 of last year, the company welcomed nine new member properties, bringing its global presence to 22 different countries. Several of these new properties are a part of andBeyond, a luxury experiential travel company that partners with Beyond Green to bring the brand’s signature sustainability practices to incredible, authentic travel experiences that let families experience the unique cultures and destinations of the world without leaving an impact.
One of the newest additions to the Beyond Green family is ENVI Sisini Serengeti in Tanzania, just opened in July 2024 and offering wild game drives and nature walks through Serengeti National Park, hot-air balloon rides, and wellness and cultural experiences, along with the opportunity to help restore the local habitat with its Adopt a Tree program.
The rest of the nine new additions are all located in South Africa, such as andBeyond Tengile River Lodge, located along the Sand River in South Africa’s Sabi Sand Private Nature Reserve. At this luxury lodge, families can enjoy private suites, each with their own private lap pool, along with nature and cultural experiences. This lodge is a wonderful opportunity to educate kids on supporting developing communities through local initiatives promoting education, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.

Salvaged stays are an emerging trend in travel that let family travelers enjoy a unique way to experience a destination. Rather than staying in a destination’s big-ticket resort hotel or a cookie-cutter vacation rental, travelers look to the world’s repurposed properties, like abandoned mills and defunct train stations-turned-hotels that have found new life. These renovated properties are a lesson in sustainability and give families a chance to discover a unique view of the history of a destination.
