With such a short summer, you’ll want to make the most of the warm weather while checking out museums, sightseeing, shopping, dining, nightlife and beyond. Turn a business trip into a family stay or just take a summer vacation in the city, both will be well worth your time.
For something swanky and historic, plan a stay at the Palmer House, A Hilton Hotel property boasting luxury design, service and incredible accommodations in a central location. The hotel currently partners with Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago, a community outreach program aiding children, aged 7–17 battling and living with cancer.
Thanks to the new partnership, more than 40 Camp Kids participants enjoy an upscale urban campsite experience at the hotel, Aug. 12–17. Guests expect the suites to resemble bunk cabins, just like summer camp.
Head to the hotel’s many meeting spaces turned dining halls and activity rooms for kids campfires, s’mores, cookouts and talent shows — all with the added comforts of the Palmer House and easy access to city attractions.
Campers take to the streets for kid-friendly attractions including a scavenger hunt in Millennium Park, a fun beach party at Foster Beach, dinner at Lincoln Park Zoo and even a Mystic Blue Fireworks Dinner Cruise on Lake Michigan.
