Classic Movie Cruise

With something already so romanticized and steeped in old-world Hollywood glamour as a cruise, it’s no wonder it pairs so well with a classic form of entertainment: the movies.

Another perfect duo, Turner Classic Movies has the hook-up on some of the best films from the golden age of movies, some of which classic film fans can’t see anywhere else. Luckily, cruisers and families of all ages can enjoy the two together, as the new-old TCM Classic Cruise is back in action.

The beloved cruise hasn’t sailed in nearly three years, but as part of the classic-film library’s 25^th anniversary celebration, the timing seems perfect for a reboot.

The cruise boasts an immersive film-buff experience, setting sail Oct. 22–27, 2019, from New York. The five-night cruise is a movie lover’s dream, all onboard Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic.

Hosted by none other than TCM’s own, and main M.C. for the channel, Ben Mankiewcz brings the same film-buff knowledge to the cruise as he brings to the screen.

Setting sail the evening of Oct. 22, guests enjoy a night and day at sea on the way to King’s Wharf, Bermuda. After spending two days and nights in Bermuda, Disney Magic heads back to New York — all while guests enjoy classic movies, including Gone with the Wind, Singin’ in the Rain, Casablanca and a few others you may not expect.

In addition to a few Disney favorites, enjoy TCM-themed activities across the entire vessel. Show off your film knowledge during trivia games, enjoy the unique opportunity to sit in on a Q&A discussion with legendary film starts and presentations with the experts, or just sit back and enjoy a slew of classic film screenings.

Between the in-depth interviews and impressive lineup of expert movie personnel filling the cruise itinerary, you’ll walk away knowing a lot more classic film knowledge than you came onboard with — that’s a challenge for true fans.

Of course, in addition to a long list of activities over the short cruise, guests and families expect fine-dining options, all-ages fun and entertainment, as well as visiting characters staying onboard the ship.
